My family and I are mourning the loss of our beloved little cat, Pita. He was barely over three years old and somehow developed severe kidney problems leading to kidney failure. Pita and his siblings were brought to us by a feral cat residing on our property. They all had nasty eye infections. We took them to a local animal hospital, nursed them back to good health and gave them a loving home. It breaks my heart that a cat who suffered so much as a kitten continued to face such hardships and eventually succumb to an illness at such a young age. Pita was my husband’s shadow. They had such an amazing bond and shared a love that survives death.
